The incredible developments of the third-gen GT family were added to with a tailored roof that could be deployed or stowed in just 19 seconds, with the car travelling at speeds of up to 30 mph (50 km/h). Offering a unique breadth of touring ability, the Continental GT Convertible is beautiful with the roof up or down and combines driver-focused performance, an exquisite, hand-crafted cabin and the latest in cutting-edge technology.
A Pinnacle Open-Air GT
At launch, the third-generation Continental GT W12 Convertible was an all-new car and a significant step forward from the previous generation, heightening the sensory experience of open-air motoring with exhilarating performance. Bentley’s powerful 6.0-litre Bentley W12 engine was mated to a dual-clutch eight-speed transmission, for faster, more efficient gear changes.
The muscular exterior design, created using revolutionary Superforming technology, resulted in a lightweight, yet stiff, body. As per the GT coupe, the engine is positioned further back to improve weight distribution, resulting in driver-focused, dynamic performance. Added to this was Bentley’s 48-volt Dynamic Ride system, together bringing a responsive ride, exceptional handling and refinement in all road conditions.
The completely redesigned cabin featured neck warmers seamlessly integrated into the heated Comfort Seats, optimising efficiency and airflow around the electrically adjustable headrests. Combined with a heated steering wheel, seat heaters and new heated armrests, these sophisticated comfort features create a luxurious driving experience in all environments with the roof up or down.
The Heritage Collection Example
The car in the Collection is a First Edition example, resplendent in Ice paintwork with a single tone Cricket Ball interior with Linen contrast stitching, and Grand Black veneer to match the exterior black chromework. It has the optional Mulliner Driving Specification, and as per every car built during Bentley’s 2019 centenary year, also includes the Centenary Specification.
